About Evan
You deserve to be heard, seen, known, and safe.

My name is Evan Richardson, and I am honored to connect with clients in the Middle TN area. As a post-master's counselor, I collaborate with clients in an integrative approach with Person-Centered, Mindfulness-based, Narrative, and other evidence-based theories towards wellness. Meeting clients where they are is my utmost goal when incorporating techniques or theories. I believe all have, “unique value, [and] that there isn’t anybody in the whole world exactly like them and that there never has been and there never will be,” to paraphrase Mister Rogers.

My Background
My professional career has included working with adolescents, young adults, older adults, couples, families, and groups. I have worked with clients from a variety of backgrounds. Grief and loss, identity development, emotional awareness, life transitions, burnout mitigation, sexuality, spirituality considerations, and relationship concerns are a few of the most frequent presenting concerns I work with. All are welcome in my office.

I value client's autonomy, follow each person's goals, and collaborate with gentle challenge. Clients often say they feel heard and able to express experiences they have not felt safe to do so outside my office. I value a therapeutic relationship with clients that does not shy away from uncomfortable topics while ensuring each client's cultural values are respected.

I would be honored to support you in your mental health journey.
